What is a Pressure Seal IBR Gate Valve?
A pressure seal IBR gate valve is a heavy-duty, linear-motion isolation valve designed specifically for high-pressure utility services where traditional bolted bonnet connections become excessively large or prone to thermal gasket relaxation.

Self-Sealing Integrity: Features an internal bonnet mechanism that utilizes internal fluid pressure to compress a flexible seal ring against the tapered inner wall of the valve body. Higher system pressure increases joint tightness.

Pressure Seal Sealing Mechanism

Initial Preload: Threaded retaining rings or bonnet studs establish the initial low-pressure seal between the flexible seal ring and the tapered body wall.

Pressure-Assisted Sealing: As line pressure rises, the upward force exerted against the bonnet block drives the seal ring tighter against the tapered body wall, securing leak-tight pressure containment under severe thermal cycling.
